We are excited to open up our Collins Cafe for parents to eat lunch with their students during the year!

Collins Cafe Rules

• Please sign up no later than 8:50AM on the day you would like to join your student and list hte name of your student in the comments.

• Our lunch schedule will be:

  • 5th Grade Lunch 11:40-12:20

  • 6th Grade Lunch 12:30-1:10

• Two guests maximum per student. (Select only one slot per student.)

• There is a limit of 8 slots per lunch period.

• Arrive five minutes before the start of the lunch period to get checked in.

  • Bring a state issued ID so we can print a visitor badge.

• Students will meet their guests at the front of the building and escort them to the Collins Cafe.

• If you are unable to attend at your reserved time, change it as soon as possible to allow others the opportunity to sign up.

  • If you can't make it to lunch (life happens) notify the front office at 281-298-3800 so that we can let your student know.

  • No extra time allotted if you are running late. The students will go back in class at the end of the lunch period.

• Return your visitor badge to the receptionist and exit through the front doors.

The Conroe Independent School District values the contributions made by its many volunteers who diligently work to support our outstanding students, teachers, and programs. Who are WATCH D.O.G.S.?
WATCH D.O.G.S. are fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other father-figures who volunteer for a day at school. During the day, Watch D.O.G.S. may read and/or work on flash cards with students, play at recess, eat lunch with students, monitor school entrances and hallways, assist with car line traffic flow, or other assigned activities where they actively engage with, not only their own students, but other students as well.

Students will easily be able to identify Watch D.O.G.S. because they will be wearing an official WATCH D.O.G.S.® t-shirt and a ‘Dog Tag’ ID with their name on it.  

All WATCH D.O.G.S must be an approved Conroe ISD District Volunteer.

A Watch DOGS' day runs from 8:00AM-4:30PM. We will provide you with a schedule for your day. The schedule will include time for you to be in your student(s) classroom(s) and will include other activities throughout the day.

All Watch D.O.G.S. are required to wear a Watch D.O.G.S. t-shirt and their visitor ID all day.
