Cobra Council is our student council leadership group at Collins. Cobra Council participates in monthly service projects, spread kindness around the school, facilitate teacher appreciation activities, and hosts our feeder elementary 4th grade visit to Collins. They also host an annual food drive that brought in 2,758 lbs of food for Montgomery County Food Bank last year and raised $5,000 in our Coin War to fund 5 Collins senior scholarships!

Applications for Cobra Council are due by 4pm on Friday, August 21, 2026.

Collins Intermediate is proud to offer FIRST LEGO League Robotics teams for students interested in STEM, teamwork, and creative problem-solving! Teams meet before school, and participation requires a strong commitment from both students and parents. Parent involvement is essential to support the success of the teams.

To apply, both students and parents must complete the application, and each student must also submit a teacher reference letter. We’re excited to see the innovation and collaboration this year’s teams will bring!

Applications for Robotics are due by 4pm on Friday, August 22, 2025.

Collins Intermediate is excited to offer Destination Imagination teams for students who enjoy creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork! These teams are run by parent managers and meet outside of school hours, typically at family homes. Meeting dates and times are set by the parent managers based on what works best for their team.

We’re especially thrilled to keep existing teams together who have competed in previous years—continuing to build on their experience and success!

The DI Interest Form is due by Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 4:00 PM.

Please be aware that some clubs may close their applications early due to limited space, need for projects to start early in the school year, and high student interest, and membership is not guaranteed. However, there will be many more clubs offered at Collins throughout the year! These opportunities will be advertised soon and shared during the morning announcements, so stay tuned and get involved!
