If possible, locate the book and return it to the library.
If the book is truly lost you may pay for the book with cash or a check. If paying with cash, please send exact change because I do not have any available monies to break a larger bill. If you send over the amount, any extra will be considered a donation to the lost book fund. If you pay by check, please make the check out to Collins Intermediate. You must also write your driver’s license number and birthdate on the check for it to be accepted.
Once a book is paid for, it is removed from the system and is yours to keep if found at a later date.
**Many people ask if they can just by a book to replace the lost one. The answer is “No”. We do not accept books purchased as replacements. The library purchases books with special bindings that are more sturdy and made for repeated usage. That is why they tend to cost more than the average book found online or at a local bookstore.
Any books not paid for by the end of the school year will carry over to the next year and the next school.
Please contact the librarian if you have any questions.
