*Students may checkout 2 books at a time.
*If a student has a book more than a month overdue, their borrowing privileges will be suspended until the book is returned or paid for.
*Students are expected to follow all Collins school rules while in the library. Failure to do so will result in a time out until behavior can be managed properly.
*Use of bean bags is a privilege for students who are reading.
*Students are not charged a late fine if their book is overdue.
*Once a book is paid for, money will not be refunded if the book is found at a later time. The student may keep the book.
* To pay for a lost book, you may write a check (please include date of birth and driver’s license number) to Collins Intermediate for the amount given to you, or you may send exact cash. There is no change if paying for a lost book with cash. Any amount sent over the price of the book will be added to the lost book fund to replace lost books.
*When a student has a damaged book, they should return it to the library and speak with the librarian about what is wrong with the book. The librarian will determine if the book is fixable or needs to be replaced. Unless it is a situation showing blatant vandalism or extreme carelessness, the student will not be charged for the book.
